Day 1 - Activity 1

Activity 1 – Sound Introduction

• Point to the “m”, and place your finger on the first ball. Move quickly to the second ball. Hold for two seconds as you say the sound “mmmmmm”. Release your finger.

  
  

• Now ask your child to repeat along with you as you make the sound. Make any necessary corrections immediately. Then ask your child to say the sound alone as you move your finger along the ball. Repeat a few times.

  
  

• Do NOT ask your child to touch the ball and move his/her finger at this stage. 

  
  

• Now repeat the process with the sounds “sss”, “aaa” and “ēēē”.

  
  

• Make sure your child says each sound at least five/six times accurately.
