This is suitable for children between the ages of 2 – 6 years, although that is a loose indication. The program will work best for the following groups of children:

· This program is appropriate for preschool children (approximately 2 years – 6 years)

· This program can also be used for children who have been in preschool / kindergarten, but have not learned to read.

This program is NOT recommended for children who have already been taught how to read, but who only need practice in speed and fluency.

The program has been used to great success by several parents, for children with various developmental delays, including in speech and mobility. However, we recommend that you connect with the instructor personally, before enrolling for the program

There is a combination of several different methodologies utilised in the program. Phonics, DISTAR, neurological impression, flashcards, etc. are all utilised in conjunction with each other, in order to effectively impart the reading skill to your child.

The program is tailor made to be communicated most effectively between parents and their children. It is designed as a series of activities, usually four to five per day, which are short and succinct. Activities can be performed at separate times of the day, but each activity has to be completed in whole, at one sitting.

All activities combined will usually take approximately 30 minutes each day.

The activities are designed to introduce sounds, concepts, symbols and exercises to your child. Obviously, they are designed to increase in complexity as the program progresses. While some of the activities may seem easy, or pointless at the beginning of the program, you will find that they have a very specific use as the lessons progress.

Each lesson comprises of activities such as sound introduction, sound pronunciation, and as the program advances, reading exercises.

The program has been designed as a complete, stand-alone, interactive course between parents and their children.

All registered members will be granted access to the exclusive members area, where you will have access to all instructions and lessons.

Parents will require about 15-30 minutes of time to go through the introductory videos, where the program will be introduced, along with methodologies and concepts.

Following that, each day's activities consist of a short explanatory video to the parents, followed by the activities of each day, which they will do online with their child. Please note that there is zero requirement of any additional materials for the course - all the course content will be available for use online, and is sufficient for exemplary performance.

You as parents can select what time of day to most effectively sit with your child. This pattern will continue for 50 days.

All activities are labelled clearly, so that you can easily implement them with your child. As mentioned before, you can decide the pace and delivery of the program with your child, based on your convenience.

All activities are designed keeping in mind the short attention span of children in this age group.

In addition, there will be interactive video calls conducted every month with the facilitators, in order to clarify any doubts or seek further information.

No. In this program, we try to move away from a standard, academic-based approach to reading, into seeing it as a more wholesome life skill. Therefore, children are ONLY taught by their parents.

The Rockin' Readers Program has been designed by Mahita Nagaraj.

Mahita originally designed the program in 2010 for her own son. Having successfully taught him to read, she then began to teach other children. Since 2011, Mahita has taught over 12,000 children with a 100% success rate, to read fluently.

Since the lockdown began in March 2020, Mahita has converted this into an online program, where over 10,000 children have benefited from the online instruction. All children have successfully learnt to read, which helps us proudly state that the program has a 100% success rate!
